Free MLB Picks Friday June 16, 2023

Both free MLB picks from yesterday were winners, so let’s keep crushing the bookies together, shall we?

In this post, I will present 2 solid baseball plays for you.

SYSTEM PICK #1: Los Angeles Dodgers (@ -139 odds, vs San Francisco Giants)

The first MLB pick for Friday June 16 is the Los Angeles Dodgers, who will be hosting the surging San Francisco Giants. This betting tip is suggested by the betting system called “The Hot Teams Matchup #2”, which produces an average of around 20 wagers per season only. In other words, when such an opportunity presents itself, you’ve got to jump on it because they are rare.

The rules of this betting strategy, which was developed after analyzing data on seven full MLB seasons, go like this: if the road team is coming off at least four wins in a row, while the home squad won its past 1 or 2 games, it is best to side with the home team.

In the current case, the visiting Giants are riding a four-game winning streak, while L.A. has won one game in a row. So, according to the rules of “The Hot Teams Matchup #2” strategy, we are invited to grab the Dodgers.

Also, did you know that the Dodgers have presented a strong 9-1 record the last 10 times they faced San Francisco at home?

John Brebbia is slated to be the opener for this meeting, but he may only pitch one or two innings before giving way to some relievers. Meanwhile, the Dodgers have not announced their starter yet, but all signs point towards Emmet Sheehan making his MLB debut. He has been spectacular at Double-A, but the main question mark concerns his command.

Still, in the end, I am willing to take a shot on the Dodgers since I have huge trust into “The Hot Teams Matchup #2” betting angle.

Final decision: Official pick

SYSTEM PICK #2: Milwaukee Brewers (@ -108 odds, vs Pittsburgh Pirates)

My second official pick concerns the two teams sitting atop the National League Central division. On one hand, “The Pummeled Pitchers” system is recommending to bet Pittsburgh, whereas “The Cold Teams Matchup #2” strategy is backing Milwaukee.

Most of the time, when we have such conflicting information, I tend to stay away from the game altogether. However, in this case, I have decided to place a bet on the Brewers, who represent my second official pick for June 16.

First of all, the strategy backing the Brewers has performed much better than the other. Also, I believe we are getting a great price on Milwaukee.

Even though both teams have a similar record and run differential, I still believe the Brewers are the better team, they are at home, and I also give them a certain edge in terms of the pitching duel.

I don’t have much faith into 43-year-old Rich Hill. His current WHIP statistic is the highest it has been in his past 10 years in the Big Leagues.

Meanwhile, Julio Teheran has been stellar since joining the Brewers. He has allowed a maximum of two runs in each of his first four starts. You can’t ask for much better than that.

Moreover, the Pirates were playing in Chicago yesterday, while Milwaukee had a day off. That’s a good advantage going to the home team. Let’s go with the Brewers today.

Final decision: Official pick
