The Brewers and the Mets are a bunch of freaking losers!!!

What have we done to the betting Gods? We must have broken the all-time record for picks within the same week that took a 3- or 4-run lead but lost.

Yesterday, we picked Milwaukee, they took a 3-0 lead but lost. The other official betting play was New York, who grabbed a 10-6 lead in Atlanta, but could not hang on either.

And remember the other two collapses we went through on Monday on a couple of big underdogs that could have paid off big time. The Royals led 4-0 while the A’s were up 3-0, but both turned out to be losing bets. What a complete joke...

SYSTEM PICK #1: Baltimore Orioles (@ -182 odds, vs Kansas City Royals)

The first system pick for today is an obvious one. We have a team that fits under “The Scoring Drought” betting system that has generated 17 consecutive wins. The team in question is the Baltimore Orioles at odds that vary between -160 and -175 right now. They will be hosting the Kansas City Royals.

Let me remind you the rules of this betting angle, in case you missed it in previous posts. It basically recommends FADING the road team if they lost their past two games by scoring two runs or less in each of those defeats. There is one more additional criterion that must be met: the road team must have a moneyline higher than +150 in American format.

In the current case, the Royals are indeed on the road, they lost both of their past two games by an identical 6-1 score, and their moneyline is in fact bigger than +150. For this reason, based on historical data, we must bet AGAINST them, which explains the Baltimore pick.

The Orioles obviously have much more firepower on offense, but the pitching matchup is also pretty enticing. Daniel Lynch struggled mightily last year, and he is not off to a great start in 2023 either. Meanwhile, Tyler Wells has a good 3.29 ERA and a spectacular 0.85 WHIP statistic. He currently leads all Major League pitchers in that category.

As if we needed more arguments supported the Orioles pick, please note that K.C. has presented a 5-15 record in their past 20 visits in Baltimore. There is no way I could avoid making this bet.

SYSTEM PICK #2: Los Angeles Dodgers (@ -103 odds, at Philadelphia Phillies)

Here is another very solid MLB betting strategy that I’ve decided to call “The Hot Teams Matchup.”

There are two different ways that a bet can be triggered by this system, but let me reveal the one that applies to one team today: bet the road team if they won at least one straight game when facing a home squad coming off at least four wins in a row.

The visiting Dodgers have obtained one victory in a row, while the hosts, Philly, is riding a five-game winning streak. For this reason, today’s second system pick goes to the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Both starting pitchers have very similar WHIP statistics this season, while L.A.’s offense is much more dangerous. Also, the Dodgers have won 6 of their past 7 meetings with the Philllies. I’m going to trust this moneymaking betting angle and grab the Dodgers.
