Free MLB Picks Thursday September 21, 2023

Hello my sports betting friends, did you enjoy yesterday’s MLB picks that generated a 3-1 record? I also had a lean on the Phillies to upset the Braves, and they picked up the W in extra innings. A great night for the Professor MJ community, thanks for being part of it!

Today we have a pick supported by a betting system that few qualifying plays every season; it is very selective. The betting strategy in question is called “The Stingy Pitchers.” Would you like to know how it works? As usual, let me reveal all of my secret tips!

After analyzing data on seven full MLB seasons, I realized that abiding by the following rules produced some good profit:

Betting AGAINST the road team if their moneyline today is smaller than +150 in American format, or 2.50 in decimal, and if they won their past two games by allowing either 0 or 1 run in each of those victories.

Let’s see how this system applies for today. Let’s focus on the Toronto Blue Jays for a moment.

They are the visiting team, their moneyline is smaller than +150 and they won their past couple of games by giving up exactly one run in each of those wins.

For, by virtue of the “The Stingy Pitchers” betting angle, I’m going to FADE the Jays and that’s why my top pick in Major League Baseball for Thursday September 21st goes to the New York Yankees straight up against Toronto.

SYSTEM PICK #1: New York Yankees (@ -132 odds, vs Toronto Blue Jays)

The Bronx Bombers are undergoing a three-game losing skid, while the Jays are flying high after winning five in a row. Still, I believe New York will do everything they can to avoid getting swept at home against division rivals.

The Yankees will start their ace pitcher, Gerrit Cole. He has allowed two runs or fewer in 10 of his past 12 outings. Cole is enjoying another super solid season. A WHIP statistic around 1 is considered to be very good, and Cole’s WHIP stat has varied between 0.89 and 1.06 in each of his past six seasons. It doesn’t get any better than this.

The Yankees will face Jose Berrios, who is also having a good season, although not nearly as good as Cole’s. After a rough month of August, Berrios has displayed three quality starts in a row. However, two of those opponents were the Royals and the A’s, two very weak offenses.

Cole has a 6-2 career record against Toronto, while Berrios has obtained a disappointing 3-5 career record against the Yankees, including a high 5.01 ERA.

Will Vladimir Guerrero suit up for this game? He was scratched from Wednesday’s game due to a knee injury. I guess we’ll find out soon, but no matter what I’m backing the Yankees to halt their three-game losing slide.

I almost forgot to present the performance of “The Stingy Pitchers” betting system. During the 2023 campaign, we have had 23 qualifying plays, which have yielded an 11-12 record. The average odds of those bets have been +122, so by taking into account each wager’s odds we have obtained a small 0.55-unit profit. Despite the minor gains, we are still in positive territory and hopefully we increase our winnings.
