There are 11 games Saturday and I am providing projections on 9 of those games because the lines are off the board on two of them. For now I have 5 recommended value bets. Let’s dive into the full details!

My favorite pick of the day is San Jose at -150 (decimal odds 1.67) versus Nashville. The Sharks have won 5 of their last 6 games, including a nice 4-2 win against Washington. Meanwhile, after posting 4 straight wins the Predators have lost 4 in a row. Nashville’s defenceman Ryan Ellis, who is third in the team for average time on ice, is questionable to play. San Jose has beaten Nashville at home on 5 straight occasions (including playoff games).
I’m back again taking Washington on the road, this time in Los Angeles at -108 (decimal odds 1.93). After winning 11 out of 14 games, the Caps have dropped their last two matches. I don’t like the fact that Washington has lost their last 6 meetings in LA (their last win over there happened in 2005!). However, the Caps have won the only matchup against the Kings this season by a convincing 5-0 score.
I’m also high on Toronto at +100 (decimal odds 2.00) in Carolina. These two teams faced each other in Carolina a month ago, a game which ended 4-0 in favor of the Leafs. In fact, Toronto has won its last two meetings in Raleigh. After losing five straight games, Toronto has won their last 2.
I don’t have as much faith in my final two picks, but here they are. First, I recommend grabbing the Islanders at +104 (decimal odds 2.04) in St. Louis. The Blues will be playing a second game in as many nights. Granted, both games are at home so no traveling involved which is why I did not penalize the Blues too much because of this factor. Greiss is likely to be in net, which is important since Berube hasn’t been great. Cizikas is out, and Boychuk is questionable. After losing 5 straight meetings against the Blues, the Isles have won the last 3 (including one in St. Louis).
Finally, if you want to go for a long shot I’d go for the Flyers at +184 (decimal odds 2.84) in Boston. Yes, the Bruins have won 9 of their last 12 games. They just played an easy game against Detroit and they will face tougher opposition this time. Philly is 3-2 against Boston in the five most recent matchups.
Two more potential value bets to keep track of during the day: bet Ottawa if the line improves to -150 (decimal 1.67) or higher and bet Arizona if the line goes up to +100 (decimal 2.00) or more.
